Stampede Application Acceleration Series Leading Edge Features

When Used as a Single-Sided Solution

When implemented as a single-sided solution with just an appliance, the Stampede Application Acceleration Series provides:

  • Application Firewalling
Protects your enterprise and applications from attacks caused by unauthorized transactions
  • Load Balancing
Intelligently distributes the transaction workload across multiple Web Application servers
  • GZIP Compression
Uses standard techniques to compress data sent to browsers
  • Image Reduction
Automatically reduces the size of images sent to minimize bandwidth consumption on slower connections
  • Static Caching
Maintains copies of routinely accessed data to eliminate unnecessary requests to the Web servers
  • High Availability Configurations
Multiple appliances can provide enhanced application load balancing and workload sharing, as well as high availability and fault tolerant options.  Read more here.

When Used as a Two-sided Solution

By adding Stampede's visionary client software to end-user devices, the ultimate in bi-directional acceleration is achieved through:

  • Cache Differencing
Maintains a coherent copy of the browser’s cache on both the client and the appliance, transmitting only the dynamic changes across the network
  • SSL Client-side Termination
All other acceleration solutions see the data after it has already been encrypted. Stampede’s patent-pending technology intercepts the SSL data at the client, applies our acceleration technology to that data, and then securely accelerates it across the network

"With millions of Lotus Notes users depending on the mainframe to distribute time-critical information, we are pleased that Stampede's TurboGold software is now available to the growing set of IBM customers who are consolidating mail and messaging servers on zSeries, helping to make their operations even more efficient."
