FX series single-sided deployment

Stampede's FX Series product family is based on a single platform that supports all WAN environments as a single-sided Application Delivery Controller (ADC), or two-sided WAN Optimization Controller (WOC).

As a single-sided solution, the FX2000 or FX4000 Series located in the data center (NOC or head-end), offer connection management to offload web and application servers. The FX Series manages the HTTP and HTTPS connections to offload the responsibility from servers having to handle the overhead imposed by the large volume of connections from web applications.

The FX Series appliances front-end web and application servers for SSL termination and processing, outbound JPEG image reduction, transaction load balancing, outbound GZIP compression, data caching, application firewalling and URL Access Control). By offloading these computing-intensive functions from the servers, the FX Series allows them to more easily scale to handle greater traffic loads, dedicating their CPU and memory resources to delivering the applications and content, rather than being burdened with the overhead functions that would otherwise diminish their capacity and slow them down.
