Stampede's FX Series product family is based on a single platform that supports all WAN environments as a single-sided Application Delivery Controller (ADC), or two-sided WAN Optimization Controller (WOC).

In a two-sided implementation, The FX Series offers three solutions; the FX2000 or FX4000 at the data center (NOC or head-end), and the following remote options; Client software, Acceleration On-Demand or the FX1000 Series Branch Office appliance. The FX Series two-sided solution improves performance further through:

The ultimate in application acceleration is achieved when the FX Series is implemented with Stampede's diverse Client technology. With this two-sided hardware-software approach, the full benefit of bi-directional acceleration is realized. Our Client software solutions can be deployed depending on your requirements and the level of control you need.

Acceleration On-Demand
Stampede’s unique Acceleration On-Demand technology enables all the acceleration without the need to install software on the end-user device. With Acceleration On-Demand, the FX Series automatically injects the proper acceleration technology into a Web page the first time that page is accessed by the user. From that point forward, the necessary acceleration software is maintained on the client.

HTTP/HTTPS Layer 7 Client
Stampede’s Standard Client software supports all browser-based HTTP and HTTPS applications. The Client software is distributed to, and installed on remote clients, providing the ultimate in performance, as well as security and control.

Winsock Layer 5 Client
Stampede’s Advanced Client software encompasses all of the features of the Standard Client software for HTTP/HTTPS applications, but also adds support for traditional TCP applications that use the Winsock interface. Now applications such as custom client-server and client-based email solutions can benefit from the acceleration of the FX Series.

Windows Mobile Acceleration Client
Stampede's Client software for Windows Mobile 5 & 6 devices combines the functionality of our HTTP/HTTPS Layer 7 acceleration and our TCP Layer 5 acceleration, to dramatically reduce bandwidth utilization for mobile users, and enterprise users with application specific devices.

FX1000 Series Branch Office Appliance

When coupled with the FX2000 or FX4000, the FX1000 Branch Office appliance can save 90% or more bandwidth, and dramatically improve application delivery performance to all end-users. The FX1000 has an advanced set of WAN optimization and application acceleration features that enable satellite network providers and ISPs to recapture expensive bandwidth for re-allocation or resale to customers. In addition, Internet-based satellite will experience much improved service levels, response times will improve, and customers will have a much enhanced user experience.
