Stampede's TurboGold Again Wins Silver Award In Lotus Advisor Magazine Editors' Choice Awards

Leading Lotus Accelerator Software Named Best Administrative Tool

DAYTON, Ohio-March 26, 2001-Stampede Technologies, Inc., a leading developer of accelerator software for Lotus Notes and Domino enterprises, today announced that it has again won the prestigious Silver Award in Lotus Advisor Magazine's Editors' Choice Awards. The Editors' Choice Awards are given annually to products that enable Lotus Notes and Domino developers and administrators to work easier and more efficiently.

The 2001 Editors' Choice Awards were chosen by contributing authors to Lotus Advisor Magazine from products exhibited by more than 200 vendors at Lotusphere 2001 in Orlando. Two awards, a Silver and Gold Award, are granted annually in each category. Stampede's TurboGold, which won this year's Silver Award in the Administrative Tools category, also won a Silver Award in 1999. The Editors' Choice Awards winners appeared in the April 2001 issue of Lotus Advisor Magazine, which was available on newsstands on March 23.

"The purpose of the Editors' Choice Awards is to identify the products that enable Lotus developers and administrators to do their jobs faster and better," said Henry Newberry, President of Newbs Consulting, Inc. and Lotus Advisor Magazine's Advisory Panel Member. "The products that we recognize with the awards are head-and-shoulders above the rest. Stampede's TurboGold is simply a great product that offers tremendous benefits to its users. Any Lotus environment that is bogged down by slow and excessive replication should consider TurboGold to make it run faster and more efficiently."

"The Lotus Advisor Magazine's Editors' Choice Awards are well-respected within the Lotus community and Stampede is honored that TurboGold has been chosen once again," said Gordon L. Dorworth, president and CEO of Stampede Technologies. "This recognition is a clear validation that TurboGold is the preferred choice for accelerating Lotus performance and creating a more efficient workforce."

TurboGold software uses patented compression, streaming and caching techniques to accelerate the transfer of Lotus Notes and Domino databases, enabling Notes and Domino environments to run up to five times faster. TurboGold also adapts to variable workloads and scales with its user's network as new clients and servers are added. TurboGold's client-to-server and server-to-server applications support Lotus Notes 4.5 and above, including R5. TurboGold's client runs on Windows NT, 95, 98, Me and 2000 and TurboGold's server runs on Windows NT, 2000, IBM AS/400 and RS/6000 (AIX) platforms.

“The modern Navy is increasingly reliant on information technology, and therefore, any technology we acquire must be efficient, reliable and cost-effective. Our evaluation of the TurboGold Server-to-Server accelerator has demonstrated compression reduction and retention of Lotus Notes rich text features. Based on these benefits, the Australian Navy intends to deploy the product across 15 ships.”
