Netcom Africa Limited Selects Stampede Technologies for WAN Optimization

Will Reduce Bandwidth Utilization and Improve Response Times for Satellite Users

Las Vegas, Nevada, April 30, 2008 – Stampede® Technologies, Inc. (www.stampede.com), a leading provider of WAN Optimization and Application Acceleration solutions today announced that Netcom Africa Limited, a leading communication infrastructure provider of satellite and wireless broadband solutions in western Africa, has selected the Stampede Application Acceleration Series™ WAN Optimization solution to improve bandwidth utilization and response times to its remote customers. With this solution, Netcom will be able to provide both single-sided (outbound only) acceleration, as well as two-sided bidirectional acceleration using Stampede’s clientless Acceleration On-Demand® technology.

The Stampede Application Acceleration Series is a two-sided hardware/software acceleration solution (commonly referred to as a Software WAN Optimization Controller, or Soft WOC) for maximizing performance and bandwidth utilization of enterprise applications. Stampede’s Soft WOC approach employs performance-enhancing technologies such as TurboStreaming™ (for accelerating compressed or encrypted objects), SSL Client-side Termination (for accelerating SSL transactions), Intelligent Cache Differencing, Image Transformation, CIFS Acceleration, Connection Management and Load Balancing, providing significant performance enhancement.
