STAMPEDE TECHNOLOGIES WEB 2.0 PERFORMANCE SERIES NAMED A FINALIST IN THE BEST OF INTEROP AWARDS FOR INTEROP 2006 LAS VEGAS

CMP Media LLC's Network Computing Magazine Names Stampede Technologies as an Application Networks & Performance Finalist

Dayton, Ohio, April 25, 2006 – Stampede® Technologies, Inc.’s (www.stampede.com) Web 2.0 Performance Series™ was named a Finalist in the Application Networks & Performance category of the Best of Interop Awards competition by CMP Media LLC’s Network Computing Magazine. The winners in nine different categories will be selected at Interop 2006 Las Vegas, to be held April 30 - May 5th, 2006.

The Stampede Web 2.0 Performance Series is the industry’s first end-to-end acceleration solution specifically designed for the new wave of enterprise applications that are implemented using Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and Asynchronous Java And XML (AJAX) technologies.  Using Stampede’s visionary hardware-software approach to acceleration, the Stampede Web 2.0 Performance Series embraces the technologies inherent in the new wave of application development, and provides a means for accelerating those applications.

The Stampede Web 2.0 Performance Series solves the network performance problems created by the asynchronous network-intrusive nature of these applications, as well as mitigating the effects of large amounts of XML data and Cookies that bloat the network bandwidth.  By utilizing a network appliance and client software, the Stampede Web 2.0 Performance Series provides functionality and benefits that others cannot; including Bi-directional Data Compression, Cache Differencing, SSL Acceleration, and TurboStreaming™ for large compressed or encrypted data objects.  The added advantage of the Stampede Web 2.0 Performance Series is its consolidation of functionality to accelerate both XML data and services; including Schema Validation, Content Routing and a full suite of Threat Management services.

“Stampede is both excited and honored to be selected as a finalist in the Best of Interop Awards competition for the second year in a row,” said Gordon Dorworth, Stampede Technologies’ President and CEO.  “Our new Stampede Web 2.0 Performance Series consolidates functionality into a single strategic data center appliance, and with our visionary client software we are able to provide performance improvements and a Return on Investment that are unmatched.”

"We started accepting nominations for the Best of Interop awards in late February. In April the Technology Editors from Network Computing Magazine and three IT industry veterans reviewed the nominations and selected the finalists in each category.  The finalists stand out from the competition because they will push the state of distributed computing and networking to the next level," explained Ron Anderson, lab director for Network Computing and head of the joint editorial judging for the Best of Interop Awards.  Just prior to Interop, the judges met with each of the finalists for one last look prior to select winners in each of the seven award categories as well as special awards for Best Startup and Best of Interop.  "The winners represent the best new products or services introduced at Interop," said Anderson.

Winners of the Best of Interop 2006 will be selected at the show and announced at an awards ceremony on Tuesday, May 2, 2006, at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center.
