STAMPEDE TECHNOLOGIES ANNOUNCES ACCELERATION ON-DEMAND TECHNOLOGY FOR ENTERPRISE APPLICATIONS

Client software functionality is now automatically "Injected" into Web Pages to expand the applicability and ease of use of Stampede's Acceleration Solutions

Dayton, Ohio, April 26, 2006 – Stampede® Technologies, Inc. (www.stampede.com), a leading provider of enterprise acceleration solutions, announced today the release of new client software technology that provides Acceleration On-Demand™ capability for enterprise applications. Compatible with Stampede’s previous HTTP/HTTPS client that required software to be installed on client devices, this new technology does not require remote devices to be touched or installed with new software. Acceleration On- Demand automatically “injects” the necessary client software into the proper Web pages, and functions with either the Stampede Application Acceleration Series™ or the Stampede Web 2.0 Acceleration Performance Series™ solutions.
 
Stampede offers a unique approach for maximizing application acceleration through its combination of a hardware appliance and client software, and converges the functionality of Application Delivery Controllers (ADCs) and WAN Optimization Controllers (WOCs).  Two-sided solutions are the only way to successfully solve the bandwidth and latency issues of today’s applications; and client software provides the best way to maximize ROI for the enterprise.

This new technology is a logical evolution of Stampede’s vision for enterprise acceleration, and allows enterprises to offer acceleration to their partners, suppliers and customers.  In addition, this new capability is a key component of the recently announced Stampede Web 2.0 Performance Series for SOA, XML and AJAX applications.  “Since hardware accelerators and even our previous client software could not be deployed outside of the enterprise, this new capability seamlessly maximizes the user experience for all users of an enterprise’s network”, said Dorworth.  “With the growth of XML and SSL outside of the enterprise, our Acceleration On-Demand capability is transparently injected into external facing interactions.”

The Stampede Application Acceleration Series and Stampede Web 2.0 Performance Series appliances are built on industry-standard hardware and software platforms, utilizing the full power of Linux and 64-bit hardware.  The new Acceleration On-Demand client technology leverages the full Win32 environment to automatically inject itself into the downloaded Web page to optimize XML, Ajax, HTTP, HTTPS and .NET environments; introducing significant financial savings, while at the same time increasing performance, response times and scalability of enterprise servers. 

Availability
Stampede’s Acceleration On-Demand client will be available August 1 as part of the Stampede Application Acceleration Series or the Stampede Web 2.0 Performance Series solutions.  Client licensing starts at $35 for a single license, and appliance pricing starts at $35,000.
