Stampede announces fx 1000 remote office acceleration applianceStampede Now Offers the Most Flexible Architecture of Any WAN Optimization Vendor Dayton, Ohio, February 23, 2010 – Stampede® Technologies, Inc. (www.stampede.com), a leading provider of WAN optimization and acceleration solutions for Satellite and terrestrial-based networks, announced the immediate availability of their new FX Series 1000 Remote Office Appliance. The FX Series 1000 adds remote branch office appliance capabilities to the FX Series 2000 and 4000 product line for robust two-sided WAN optimization and acceleration. The FX Series 1000 is installed at remote offices which have 3 to15 Mbps of bandwidth connectivity to headquarters, NOCs or head-end facilities with FX Series 2000 or 4000 appliances deployed. The FX Series 2000 and FX 4000 appliances are head-end appliances that support 70Mbps - 155Mbps throughput respectfully. Stampede now offers the most diverse set of WAN optimization and acceleration products for enterprises and Satellite network operators. More importantly, Stampede has the most flexible architecture available of any vendor. The FX Series 1000 appliance enables ISPs and Teleport Operators with the same set of head-end appliance features for bi-directional acceleration of all HTTP traffic. With the addition of the FX Series 1000 remote office appliance, ISPs and Teleport operators can deploy all three of Stampede’s remote optimization solutions within the same environment using the same head-end FX Series appliance. This enables them to provide their customers with outbound-only acceleration, or software-based client bi-directional acceleration, while a third group can use the FX Series 1000 appliance for hardware based bi-directional acceleration. Alternatively, Stampede’s Acceleration On-Demand enables bi-directional acceleration functionality without the need to install software on end-user devices. With Acceleration On-Demand, the Stampede solution automatically injects the appropriate acceleration technologies into web pages the first time the pages are accessed by the users. The FX Series 1000 comes with a dual core Intel processor and 2GB memory. It is available in three models supporting 3, 5 or 15 Mbps remote office capacity. When coupled with an FX Series head-end appliance, the solution can save 90% or more bandwidth and dramatically improve application delivery to end-users. Stampede’s advanced set of WAN optimization and acceleration features allow Satellite network providers and ISPs to recapture expensive bandwidth for re-allocation or resale to other customers. In addition, Satellite ISP customers, especially those who use Internet-based satellite services, will experience a much improved service level, response times will improve and customers will have a much enhanced experience. The FX Series 1000 is also available with SCPS-TP for military satellite deployments. “Adding a remote appliance to our stable of products was a logical next step for us”, said Gordon Dorworth, CEO of Stampede Technologies. “Our customers have been asking for a product like this for some time. We are responding to customer requirements, and getting great feedback from those who have already deployed it”. About Stampede Technologies

“The increase in data transfer and replication in our daily sales operations has been growing exponentially. But with that growth comes increasing telecommunications costs. TurboGold 4.0 has allowed us to contain connection costs while managing more users and traffic within the existing network.” Deborah Croyle ![]() |
