Stampede Technologies Introduces New Multi-User Client Software for Remote Branch Offices

Lightweight, Yet Robust Solution Enables a Single Remote Device to Provide Acceleration for a Diverse Array of Remote Users

Dayton, Ohio, May 21, 2007 –Stampede® Technologies, Inc. (www.stampede.com), a leading provider of acceleration solutions for Web-enabled Enterprise Applications today announced the release of the Stampede Multi-User Client software. Stampede’s Multi-User Client software offers enterprises a lightweight, yet robust alternative to installing and administering expensive hardware at remote locations, or deploying client software on every remote device. With Stampede’s Multi-User Client and the Stampede Application Acceleration Series™, end users gain complete bi-directional acceleration for HTTP/HTTPS, Web 2.0 and AJAX applications, resulting in improved performance, increased productivity and reduced bandwidth utilization. The resulting total cost of ownership for Stampede’s hardware-software WAN optimization solution is up to 90 percent less than comparable two-sided, hardware/hardware optimization approaches.

The Stampede Application Acceleration Series is a two-sided hardware/software acceleration solution for maximizing performance and bandwidth utilization of Web-based enterprise applications. The Stampede Application Acceleration Series employs performance-enhancing technologies such as TurboStreaming™ (for accelerating compressed or encrypted objects), Advanced Virtual Pipelining™, SSL Client-side Termination (for accelerating SSL transactions), Intelligent Cache Differencing, Image Transformation, Connection Management and Load Balancing, providing significant performance enhancement. These optimization technologies support traditional HTTP/HTTPS, legacy TCP and the emerging Web 2.0/AJAX application environments.

When it is more appropriate (or desirable) to deploy a no-nonsense appliance at the remote office, the Stampede Multi-User Client offers a single point solution that supports a diverse multi-user environment. Any browser that connects through the Multi-User Client benefits from shared local caching, cache differencing, and all of the traditional Stampede acceleration techniques – no matter whether the clients are Windows, Linux, Mac OS or Mobile Devices using WiFi. The Multi-User Client software can be deployed on either Windows® or Linux® based devices, and can be installed on existing customer hardware, eliminating the need to purchase, install and manage additional remote hardware devices.

“By making the commitment to client technology early in our product life cycle, Stampede has been able to easily innovate and evolve our solutions for heterogeneous environments without burdening customers with the cost of expensive hardware”, said Gordon Dorworth, Stampede Technologies’ President and CEO. “Our new Multi-User Client software becomes the industry’s most versatile, and cost-effective way to optimize and secure branch access to enterprise applications. Regardless of the type of client or customer requirements, Stampede has client software that matches the customer’s needs.”

Availability
Stampede’s Multi-User Client software will be available June 27, 2007, and can be deployed on either Windows or Linux based servers, with pricing starting at $35 per client.

Stampede will be exhibiting at Interop 2007 in Las Vegas, Nevada, May 22-24 at booth #2175.

“Enterprise customers are increasingly deploying web-based applications throughout a global network. Many of these applications have proved too costly, complex or bandwidth-hungry to deploy effectively in retail or branch office environments. Yet, access to these applications is critical to meeting business objectives. Products that enhance the speed and delivery of web applications enable customers to maintain service levels throughout a distributed network.”
