Stampede Technologies Unveils Stampede Application Acceleration Series Release 2

Advanced Virtual Pipelining, Surge Protection, Persistent TCP Layer 5 Connections and Other Advanced Features Accelerate Delivery of Enterprise Applications

Dayton, Ohio,
May 8, 2007 –Stampede® Technologies, Inc. (www.stampede.com), a leading provider of acceleration solutions for Web-enabled Enterprise Applications today announced its Stampede Application Acceleration Series™ Release 2 family of solutions for accelerating and optimizing the performance of complex HTTP, SSL, AJAX and XML applications. New features including Advanced Virtual Pipelining™, Surge Protection and Persistent TCP Layer 5 Connections significantly accelerate performance and enhance usability. Enterprises that deploy Stampede’s Application Acceleration Series can directly improve the response time of their Web-enabled applications, optimize the use of existing application servers, and significantly reduce bandwidth utilization for all enterprise users. Stampede will be introducing this solution, and other technologies at Interop 2007 in Las Vegas, Nevada, May 22-24 at booth #2175.

The Stampede Application Acceleration Series is a two-sided hardware/software acceleration solution for maximizing performance and bandwidth utilization of Web-based enterprise applications. The Stampede Application Acceleration Series employs performance-enhancing technologies such as TurboStreaming™ (for accelerating compressed or encrypted objects), SSL Client-side Termination (for accelerating SSL transactions), Intelligent Cache Differencing, Image Transformation, Connection Management and Load Balancing, providing significant performance enhancement. These optimization technologies support traditional HTTP/HTTPS, legacy TCP and the emerging Web 2.0/AJAX application environments. In addition, Stampede’s Acceleration On Demand™ client technology is the only client technology to be automatically injected into the responses sent to the end user, without the need to install software at the client.

The Stampede Application Acceleration Series Release 2 introduces the following capabilities for accelerating and improving end-user interaction with enterprise applications:

  • Expanded Support for Industry Standard Mobile Client Platforms
With this release, the Stampede Application Acceleration Series introduces support beyond traditional Windows® based PCs to include:

-  Windows Mobile Devices(Smart Phones / PDAs)
-  Linux Based Devices
  • Advanced Virtual Pipelining™
Enables multiple applications and web browser sessions to share many virtual TCP sessions (pipelines), improving performance by 40% and better utilizing existing bandwidth

  • Surge Protection
Monitors requests to Application Servers to eliminate overloading, resulting in more consistent server utilization and smoother response times

  • Persistent TCP Layer 5 Connections
With Stampede’s Advanced Client software, applications that connect to the host server over Winsock (TCP Layer 5) are protected from session or network failures. The Stampede client maintains a virtual session between the application and end user, and reestablishes the connection and session context when a connection is reestablished. This increases end user productivity and protects against data loss.
  • Content Based Load Balancing
Enables enterprises with multiple secured (SSL) applications to present a single SSL Certificate to the end user, and distribute the various application transactions to the appropriate servers. This reduces costs for purchasing multiple SSL certificates, and provides a consistent access point (URL) for all applications.
  • Advanced PDF Optimization
Specialized optimization for Adobe PDF files that improves the delivery of these documents to the end user by up to 85%
  • Content Distribution (Pre-Caching)
Enables enterprises to predefine content to be distributed (or cached) to end users during off-peak hours, improving initial document access times and avoiding network saturation for distribution of critical data.

“These new performance and usability enhancements, especially our new software for Windows Mobile, solidify our position as an innovator in the acceleration of enterprise applications,” said Gordon Dorworth, Stampede Technologies’ President and CEO. “We not only offer the broadest range of support for enterprise users, but continue to implement technologies that maximize the end user experience, while reducing network and application server utilization.”

Availability
The Stampede Application Acceleration Series Release 2 will be available June 27, 2007. Pricing for the Stampede Application Acceleration Series Release 2 starts at $40,000 for the first appliance, and $35 per client.
