Q. What technology does TurboGold employ to accelerate data over the Internet?

A. TurboGold utilizes patented compression and streaming techniques to move data more efficiently over the Internet. The data is first intercepted by TurboGold and compressed. It is then carefully assembled in larger packets that are streamed providing a much more efficient communication scheme.

Q. What performance improvements can be expected from this technology?

A. Online web access will be 2 to 3 times faster while offline synchronization of Lotus iNotes will see up to 5 times improvement.

Q. Does TurboGold Web Acceleration speed up Lotus iNotes & QuickPlace?

A. Yes, TurboGold accelerates both online and offline operations. Through patented compression and streaming the online, real-time transfer of data is enhanced for iNotes and QuickPlace. For offline operations, TurboGold offers performance improvements in database synchronizations including the acceleration of the initial subscription download – Domino Offline Services (DOLS).

Q. Does TurboGold Web Acceleration speed up other HTTP and HTML applications?

A. Yes, although TurboGold accelerates Domino based Web services by default; TurboGold can be configured to support non-Domino applications.
